About The Role
Cater Care is seeking a Casual Catering Assistant at Balmoral Retirement Village – Dernancourt, SA. This casual role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents’ daily lives. You will assist the kitchen team with meal preparation and service, helping to create a welcoming, enjoyable, and high-quality dining experience for all residents.
What This Role Involves
Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
Providing excellent customer service by serving residents’ meals and snacks
Re-stocking supplies as needed, including after meal periods
Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen and dining areas
Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
Contract catering experience (desirable)
The ability to work effectively within a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Willingness to undergo a Police Check
