Gather by Cater Care is seeking a passionate Chef to join our team at Ballarat Grammar in Wendouree.

In this hands-on role, you’ll prepare and present high-quality meals for events and formal dinners, delivering dishes that look exceptional and taste even better. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, bring strong organisation and reliability to every shift, and contribute positively to a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for students and staff
  • Support high-volume and bulk meal production
  • Deliver professional and friendly customer service
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Adhere to food safety and workplace health and safety standards
  • Provide efficient service with a positive, proactive approach

Desired Skills and Experience

Your Background

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role (education sector experience desirable)
  • Bulk cooking experience advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong presentation, communication, time management, and attention to detail skills
