About The Role

The key to our success is our people. In this role, you will provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service through the preparation and cooking of a variety of meals, ingredient preparation, and food service.
Roster: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Key Responsibilities Include
Working alongside the Head Chef to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students
Menu planning, cooking nutritious Homestyle meals: fresh baked morning/afternoon tea; hot lunches, soup, evening meal and desserts
Consideration of special dietary requirements including; allergies/intolerances, supplements
Preparing high end food for various functions throughout the year
Assisting with the management of small kitchen team, including training/development, motivation and encouraging staff productivity
Forming and maintaining key relationships with residents, culinary team, client and management
Strict adherence to Food Safety practices, HACCP and WH&S principles
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Essential Criteria
Minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience in a busy kitchen
Strong working knowledge of Food Safety
Valid Driver’s License
Passion for great food and excellent customer service
Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Commitment to team development and leadership
Pride in personal hygiene and professional presentation
