About The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Permanent Full-Time Cook to join one of the fastest-growing catering companies in Australia. The key to our success is our people. In this role, you will provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service through the preparation and cooking of a variety of meals, ingredient preparation, and food service.

Roster: Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Working alongside the Head Chef to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students
  • Menu planning, cooking nutritious Homestyle meals: fresh baked morning/afternoon tea; hot lunches, soup, evening meal and desserts
  • Consideration of special dietary requirements including; allergies/intolerances, supplements
  • Preparing high end food for various functions throughout the year
  • Assisting with the management of small kitchen team, including training/development, motivation and encouraging staff productivity
  • Forming and maintaining key relationships with residents, culinary team, client and management
  • Strict adherence to Food Safety practices, HACCP and WH&S principles

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 2 years’ full-time experience in a busy kitchen
  • Strong working knowledge of Food Safety
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Passion for great food and excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to team development and leadership
  • Pride in personal hygiene and professional presentation
