Are you a proactive, hands-on leader ready to take charge in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Join Cater Care Manufacturing (a 100% Australian-owned provider) and be the vital link between the General Manager and our production teams.
This is a "boots on the ground" leadership position where you will lead the daily activities of the Care Food Co and Mini Meals teams. You will actively participate in tasks to alleviate pinch points and ensure production targets are met.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Lead and step teams through daily production plans to drive productivity.
Manage financial resources by developing cost-effective labor schedules and monitoring wastage.
Maintain quality by reviewing products against ISO standards and managing all aspects of the Food Safety Plan.
Foster a high-performing culture through team forums, public recognition, and ensuring staff training is current.
Desired Skills and Experience
What We're Looking For
Experience: A qualified chef with a proven background in a food manufacturing environment, with strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership: A self-reliant, proactive leader who demonstrates true teamwork and accountability. Experience managing multi-functional teams is highly regarded.
Technical Skills: Confident operating production machinery (e.g., pasteurisers, fillers) and able to troubleshoot minor faults.
Other Requirements: A commitment to safety, strong communication skills, computer literacy, and flexibility with working hours. A current driver's licence is required.
