Location: Jesmond, NSW Job Type: Full-Time (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM) Salary: $76,515 - $90,000 + Super
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead the kitchen operations at an aged care facility in Jesmond. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of residents, while ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-run kitchen environment that supports overall resident wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a small kitchen team
Manage bulk meal production, including texture-modified meals
Plan and deliver seasonal menus aligned with dietary and resident needs
Oversee kitchen operations: budgeting, ordering, stock control, and rostering
Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and food safety regulations
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and care staff
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certification
Proven experience leading a culinary team in a high-volume catering environment
Experience in aged care, healthcare, or similar environments (highly regarded)
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen
