Take Charge of the Kitchen - No Weekends

Location: Malmsbury VIC
Position: Full-Time | Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Start date: July 2026

About The Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for a Chef Manager role at our Malmsbury site.

This is a hands-on leadership role offering genuine work-life balance. You’ll oversee daily kitchen operations, deliver high-quality meals, and ensure a safe, structured environment.

Alongside leading your team and maintaining high standards in a busy kitchen, you’ll also mentor young people in training and work experience programs, supporting their growth in a positive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
  • Prepare, present, and deliver fresh meals at scale in a high-volume environment
  • Manage special dietary requirements
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations: food preparation, service, delivery, dishwashing, and cleaning
  • Maintain strict food safety and compliance standards
  • Deliver efficient, professional service within a secure and structured environment

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate preferred (or willing to obtain upon commencement)
  • Experience leading teams in high-volume catering, healthcare, corrections, or similar environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work confidently within a regulated setting
  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
