Location: PLC Perth, Peppermint Grove
Pay Rate: $25.85 per hour + Super
Roster:10am - 2pm, weekdays

The Role

Join Gather by Cater Care as a Catering Assistant in a busy school canteen environment at a prestigious girls’ school.

This is a hands-on hospitality and food service role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll support daily canteen operations including food preparation, meal service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring smooth service during busy periods.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, service, and buffet setup/pack down
  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service to students and staff
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, handle transactions, and stock supplies
  • Maintain clean, well-presented kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing
  • Uphold strict food hygiene and safety standards at all times

About You

  • Previous catering or hospitality experience 
  • Friendly and confident engaging with customers
  • Reliable, approachable, and team-oriented
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to busy and changing environments
