Aged Care Dining with Care and Quality
Pay: $32 per hour + Super Job Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract Roster: Sunday to Thursday, 9:30am - 5:30pm Start Date: July 2026
About The Role
We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in The Basin on a 12-month maternity leave contract. In this role, you will support residents’ health and wellbeing by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe and welcoming environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for a chef looking for work-life balance, with day shifts only and no late nights.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
Deliver friendly and efficient service
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen
Follow food safety and workplace health standards
Prepare texture-modified meals with care and attention
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a similar role (aged care experience desirable but not essential)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail
A positive attitude and passion for creating great food
