Gather by Cater Care is looking for reliable, customer-focused Catering Assistants to join our team at a busy education site in Townsville. This hands-on hospitality role supports the preparation and service of fresh, high-quality meals for students in a welcoming dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, service, and buffet setup/pack down
  • Deliver friendly, efficient customer service to students and staff
  • Operate point-of-sale systems, handle transactions, and stock supplies
  • Maintain clean, well-presented kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing
  • Uphold strict food hygiene and safety standards at all time

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, or customer service roles
  • Function or event catering experience highly regarded, but not essential
  • Reliable, approachable, and team-oriented
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to busy and changing environments
