Kitchen Leadership Opportunity - No Weekends 

Location: Alphington, Victoria
Salary: $85k + Super
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday to Friday 
Start Date: July 2026

About The Role

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Chef Manager to lead kitchen operations at our Alphington site.

This is a hands-on leadership role offering genuine work-life balance, where you will oversee daily kitchen operations, guide a small team, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, nutritious meals in a structured, high-volume environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining consistency, driving standards, and supporting a positive team culture.

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
  • Oversee preparation and presentation of meals at scale
  • Manage special dietary requirements and meal modifications
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations: food preparation, service, dishwashing, and cleaning
  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards
  • Ensure efficient and professional service delivery in a structured environment

Key Skills and Experience

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in high-volume catering environments in a similar Chef or Chef Manager role
  • Strong leadership experience managing kitchen teams in healthcare, aged care, or similar structured environments
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred or willing to obtain upon commencement)
  • Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and maintain consistency under pressure
