About The Role

Cater Care Australia is seeking a motivated and reliable Weekend Chef to join our team at an aged care site in Northgate. This hands-on role is ideal for a qualified chef looking to grow within a supportive, national organisation while maintaining excellent work-life balance.

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff. You’ll play an important role in ensuring a positive dining experience while maintaining the highest food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
  • Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
  • Deliver friendly and efficient service
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen
  • Follow food safety and workplace health standards
  • Prepare texture-modified meals with care and attention

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
  • Experience in bulk cooking or high-volume food preparation
  • Previous aged care or healthcare catering experience (desirable)
  • Strong time management, organisation, and multitasking skills
  • Team-oriented with clear communication skills
