We are seeking a qualified Chef to join our aged care facility in Boronia on a 12-month maternity leave cover contract. This is a hands-on role within a large, well-established home featuring nine residential wings, a supportive kitchen team, and a warm and welcoming community of residents.
The environment is structured and collaborative, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality food that supports resident health and wellbeing. This role also offers strong opportunities for future employment and career progression within the organisation.
You will play a key role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals in a caring and professional aged care environment.

Prepare and present fresh, high-quality meals for residents and staff
Assist with bulk meal preparation and daily kitchen operations
Deliver friendly, efficient service in a residential care setting
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen
Follow food safety and workplace health standards
Prepare texture-modified meals with care and precision
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with experience in a similar chef role
Aged care experience is essential
Strong ability to prepare and deliver high-quality meals in a care-focused environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team
Strong organisation, time management, and attention to detail in a busy kitchen setting
Must hold valid Australian working rights (no sponsorship available for this site)
