Location: Braemar Village, Willagee WA

Roster: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday 

Cater Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef Manager to lead the kitchen team at Braemar Village, our aged care residence in Willagee.

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll bring together your culinary expertise and operational skills to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals and exceptional dining experiences for our residents. You'll oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality, and inspire a team committed to service excellence.

About the Role

As Chef Manager, you will take ownership of both kitchen operations and site management responsibilities, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality food and service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the preparation and presentation of nutritious, high-quality meals
  • Managing daily kitchen operations and service delivery
  • Maintaining food safety, hygiene and compliance standards
  • Preparing texture-modified meals and specialised dietary requirements
  • Managing stock ordering, inventory control and stock rotation
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and team development initiatives
  • Building and maintaining a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture
  • Working closely with operational leaders to achieve site objectives and service excellence

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

You are a capable and hands-on hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional food while leading and developing successful teams.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Previous experience managing kitchen operations and/or catering sites
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, compliance and quality standards
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
  • The ability to work autonomously while fostering strong team collaboration
  • Experience within aged care, healthcare, retirement living or large-scale catering environments will be highly regarded.
