Job Description

Cater Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team in Parramatta. As part of the Operations department, this permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant impact in our organisation. The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and managing daily operational activities
  • Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures
  • Leading and motivating the operations team to achieve performance targets
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions
  • Collaborating with other departments to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and preparing regular reports for senior management
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to optimise operational costs
  • Contributing to the development of strategic plans to support organisational growth
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Attributes required for the position:

  • High level of QA, WH&S, HACCP, and Food Safety knowledge. 
  • Experience and understanding of the education sector
  • Possess the ability to develop strong and effective client relationships
  • The ability to manage multiple sectors within a hospitality environment
  • Passion for exceptional customer service and food quality

Key Criteria:

  • Trade Qualified Chef and Diploma in Management (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar multi-site role
  • Demonstrated budget and cost management experience     
  • Previous experience as a manager and sound knowledge of contract catering requirements within education
  • Neat presentation and attention to detail
  • Passionate and enthusiastic
  • A team player who has the potential to lead and encourage other team members to get the best from them
  • Empathy towards students, staff, and clients
  • Excellent client liaison skills
  • Valid Driver’s License

Professionalism and accountability along with personal values aligned to the Company values of Care, Pride and Community are a must.
