About your role:
Cater Care is seeking a skilled Trades Assistant to join our team at Ernest Henry in Cloncurry. As a Trades Assistant, you will be an integral part of the Maintenance Department, contributing to the efficient operation and maintenance of the site and village. This is a Permanent - Full Time position that offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development within the trades field.
Key responsibilities and tasks include:
Responsible for assisting tradespeople with various non - licensed trades tasks as required
Supporting the maintenance of equipment and machinery
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Performing general site maintenance duties - Contributing to the cleanliness and organisation of work areas and grounds maintenance
Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times.
The successful candidate will have a proactive approach, excellent teamwork skills, and a strong commitment to safety practices. Previous experience in a similar role within the building trades industry would be advantageous. Desired Skills and Experience
The Ideal Applicant Will Have:
Previous experience within the fields of carpentry, activities relating to plumbing, gardening, grounds work and more
Experience in a hospitality environment or similar experience within a remote environment is highly regarded
Ability to work well with other team members
A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
Ability to understand and comply with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physically fit and able to work long hours with repetitive tasks
Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
MUST hold a manual drivers’ license is mandatory whilst MR / HR and Forklift Licenses are all desirable
