Job Description

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Administrator to join our Village team in Lake Vermont. This is a DIDO position on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster, ideal for someone who thrives in the mining/hospitality and has a solid administrative background. Mackay Locals Only. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient day-to-day administrative support to the Village Management team
  • Utilise RMS accommodation software to manage bookings and site logistics
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry across various internal systems
  • Support rostering, timesheets, and reporting functions
  • Liaise with internal departments and contractors to ensure smooth operations
  • Setting up and clearing dining rooms
  • Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas
  • Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices
  • Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude
  • Assisting the broader team as required
  • Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
  • Dining Room Duties - maintain cleanliness, stock and crib food levels
  • Housekeeping Duties - room and ensuite cleaning, making beds (if needed)
  • Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
  • Mine Site Cleaning - cleaning offices, crib huts, bathhouses

About You

  • Previous administration experience, ideally in a DIDO-FIFO or remote village environment
  • Computer Savvy with strong computer literacy and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Roster & Working Conditions

  • 14/7 FIFO roster
  • Accommodation and meals provided on site
  • Based in the resource sector, supporting site operations in a dynamic and remote setting

Desired Skills and Experience

The Ideal Applicant Will Have:

  • Experience working as a Hotel Reservations or Accommodation Manager 12 months +
  • Experienced Admin,RMS accomodation software,resource sector (Advantageous)
  • A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
  • A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
  • Drivers License (Auto or Man)
  • Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
